Thomas graduated at the University of Pretoria in 2019 with a BA (Law) (cum laude) and an LLB. He commenced his articles in 2020.
He has a keen interest in constitutional; administrative; environmental; and land reform, tenure and restitution law. His LLB dissertation critically examined the “equitable balance” element of the Constitutional property clause. During his time as a Candidate Attorney, Thomas has been involved in a number of complex matters involving evictions, mining operations, land claims, judicial reviews, B-BBEE, and labour tenants. He has also authored and co-authored several publications which have been published by high-profile news outlets.
